'00 Polaris 400 Xplorer. (SOLD)
Who says automatic utility atv's won't wheelie?? And this wheelie was done with only a pipe, jetkit, & clutch tuning!!
This is '00 Polaris Xplorer 400, 2stroke with switchable 2wd to 4wd.
The body is a Yellow Sportsman body with the front rack removed, and the bumper lights relocated for that "baja" look, on a seperate switch. The headlight has been modified with a motorcycle connecter and rewired for true high/low beam operation. A 55watt backup light for rear lighting triggered from the reverse gear indicator.
A TinyTach has been added to monitor the rpms, and to help in tuning the HPD roller clutch. HPD billet lower steering stem support, HD tie rod ends, and HPD shock covers are the only steering/suspension items added so far.
The motor has the following:
HPD - Wiesco forged piston.
HPD - Trail ported cylinder.
HPD - Cylinder girdle mod.
HPD - Billet cylinder head with pump gas                    dome.
HPD - DeltaForce reed cage.
HPD - Kehin PWK flatslide carb.
RcR - Airbox mod with Uni Filter.
DynoPort pipe with "cheater" silencer.
Coal Creek Mining Corp.
This 2000 Xplorer wore out the tie rod ends at only 300miles. The stockers were a tiny ball-joint type. These were industrial spherical ends from MSCdirect. Thanks to ATVconnection.com, Farmr123 did the research & posted the cure.
But, I did use a allen head bolt instead to get rid of bolthead-to-end interference at full turn lock.
Bagger with power
Don't need no stinkin' trailer!
Some great muscle cars!
